A favorite pastime while in Acadia Nation Park is to swim in Echo Lake from Echo Beach almost daily while I am there. Naturally when I hike, the next best thing is to see my favorite spot to swim from a bird’s eye view and that is oJered from the outer loop of the Canadian CliJs. It is a hike oJering tree lined paths with dappled sun with moss and fauna that enjoys those conditions with a large granite outcropping which reaches to the cliJs overlooking Echo Lake. The lake from above is reflecting the greens of the surrounding landscape with the bathers’ oJering pops of contrasting color....and it’s a safe spot to get a good look at the loon’s nest to the right of the beach.
