The first time going past Egg Rock on a boat I felt so excited to see the beautiful site of this 1875 lighthouse in the mouth of Frenchman's Bay.  I can only imagine how challenging it would have been to build it let alone withstand the harsh winters storm in Maine. The lighthouse must be a welcoming and safe sight for boaters entering Frenchman's Bay on their way to Winter Harbor. And it was super fun to see the curious faces of seals along the ledge and water's edge as we passed Egg Rock.
