 I have painted this view on Somes Harbor three times. The view changes with the time of day. This day was overcast, everything was soft focus, soft colors, soft edges, and calm. Sitting on the dock alone, even for 5 minutes, at any time of the day is a moment of pause. A pause to appreciate the beauty of this moment and a pause to realize how lucky I feel to see this view and to be able to share this peaceful view in a painting.
