There is something magical about a foggy, misty hike. The whole palette changes. There is a softness, and the edges are just a bit less in focus. My palette borders on jewel tones with bold marks and rich color for the highlights. With the fog and mist, the palette takes on more muted and atmospheric colors. Painting with these colors expanded my ability to express what the day felt like. My focus was soft, as were our voices. Days like these are a good reminder to move quietly through my thoughts with peace.
