I love creating in this way. Pouring paint is playful and fun and random. I then see the landscape in the shapes I’ve poured. When the layer of poured paint are complete, then and only then do I apply oil stick and oil paint with a brush. This method allows me to approach landscape painting from an entirely different direction. There is no set direction at the start of this process. I allow the shapes to dictate the choice of landscape I paint. It becomes a co creation of the play of pouring and the landscape.
